Project Scope

For this project, we spearheaded a comprehensive UX/UI redesign, focusing on both the editor and website revamp. In the editor, our goals were to streamline workflows, enhance intuitiveness, improve visual design, boost performance, expand functionality, and ultimately increase user retention. Each design decision was informed by user research and iterative testing to ensure the editor was both powerful and easy to use.

On the website side, I aimed to improve brand perception, enhance usability, drive conversions, and increase engagement while maintaining visual consistency throughout. Special attention was given to simplifying Snak creation, making it accessible for all users. The final deliverables included polished UI screens and interactive prototypes, reflecting these improvements and resulting in measurable gains in user satisfaction and overall project success.

Problem Statements

This project faced a set of complex challenges that shaped the direction of the redesign. On the product side, the editor and timeline were overly complicated, constrained by strict corporate rules and guidelines, and hindered by a clunky testing environment.

The high learning curve, need for both B2B and B2C customisation, and the goal of building a seamless cross-platform editor further intensified the complexity.

From a user perspective, we needed to address the difficulty of convincing healthcare professionals and corporate clients of the product’s value, while ensuring usability for all stakeholders.

The process was further complicated by the need for extensive handholding, navigating multiple corporate approval layers, and overcoming the steep learning curve. These combined challenges highlighted the need for a more intuitive, efficient, and accessible solution overall.

Research & Ideation

Our research and ideation process for Snakker was deeply rooted in User Centred Design (UCD), ensuring that every decision reflected the real needs and behaviors of our end users. We adopted a collaborative and agile workflow, bringing together cross-functional teams to brainstorm, iterate, and refine ideas quickly. Prioritizing function over form, we focused on building features that solved core problems while maintaining consistency and scalability across the product.

Intuitive design decisions guided our approach, with accessibility as a primary concern from the outset. We developed a comprehensive branding and style-guide to ensure visual harmony, then translated these principles into UI design and interactive prototypes. Testing started early and was repeated throughout the process, allowing us to gather feedback and implement iterative improvements. This commitment to continuous refinement helped us create a product that is both user-friendly and robust.

We managed to design everything in Figma, brainstormed on Figjam and also used Notion for project management. We also managed to push everything to Webflow and make the main landing page and other inner website pages live for seamless and faster output time.

Result

→ The redesign of Snakker delivered measurable improvements across key user and business metrics.

→ Usability for healthcare professionals (HCPs) saw a significant boost, especially in cue selection and the creation of Snaks, making the process clearer and more intuitive.

→ Conversion rates from the landing page to Snak creation increased, demonstrating a smoother onboarding experience.

→ User engagement and retention within the editor section improved notably, supported by a 20-25% reduction in development time after implementing the design system.

→ The refreshed branding enhanced recall value, helping Snakker stand out in users’ minds.

→ Creating a Snak from scratch became a straightforward, step-by-step experience, and usability metrics—such as task success rate and time-on-task—showed marked improvements, validating the impact of our user-centered approach.
